Brydon, Swearengen & England P.C. is pleased to announce that Jamie Cox and Erin Wiseman have become shareholders of the firm.
Jamie Cox has a general administrative law practice. She is a former Assistant Attorney General and routinely handles matters before the Administrative Hearing Commission and various professional licensing boards, including the State Board of Nursing, State Board of Pharmacy, Missouri Dental Board, Missouri Real Estate Appraisers Commission, Committee for Professional Counselors, Committee for Social Workers, and State Committee of Psychologists. She also represents clients in judicial review of agency decisions before the circuit courts and courts of appeals.In her practice, Jamie has handled cases pending before the State Board of Education, the Missouri Ethics Commission, the Missouri Gaming Commission, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and the Missouri Department of Mental Health, and she has also assisted in cases pending before the State Board of Registration for the Healings Arts, the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, and the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control.
Jamie is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. In law school, she was a member of the Journal of Dispute Resolution, and she received the Judge L.F. Cottey Advocacy Award for excellence in oral and written advocacy. Jamie is currently a columnist for the Midwest Wine Press, a business publication dedicated entirely to the art and business of winemaking in the Midwestern United States.
Erin L. Wiseman has a general civil practice that includes Bankruptcy, Family Law, Criminal Law, Municipality Representation and Business Law. Erin handles matters in the Western District Bankruptcy Court of Missouri representing both creditors and debtors in various matters in bankruptcy. Erin also handles matters in various Circuit Courts throughout Missouri, practicing Divorce, Paternity, Child Custody, Child Support, Modifications, Traffic matters, Criminal matters, property and general business Litigation. Erin is a member of Zonta, Rotary, Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce Young Professional (hYPe), Jefferson City Jaycees, Jefferson City Eagles Auxillary, Cole County Bar Association, Missouri Bar and American Bar Association. Erin is an alumni of the Inns of Court.
