William R. (Trip) England III recently attended the 2014 Midwinter Meeting of the SCG Legal (formerly the State Capital Law Firm Group) at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami, Florida. The meeting attracted representatives from 40 of SCG Legal’s 50 state capital-based firms and three out of four of its commercial city firms, as well as from all of its Canadian firms and several of its Latin America, Caribbean and Europe firms. Brydon, Swearengen & England P.C. is the Missouri member firm of SCG Legal.
The Midwinter Meeting emphasizes legal marketing and business development practices. The agenda this year included several presentations such as, “The State of the Legal Market: Prospects and Opportunities” and “Delivering on Our Promises: Developing and Implementing Meaningful Client Service Standards.”
Mr. England is a former president of SCG Legal. He represents telecommunications companies and public utilities before the Missouri Public Service Commission and other regulatory bodies.
