BSE will sponsor Louisville Male High School in the upcoming 2012 Joe Machens Great Eight Classic in Jefferson City, Missouri. The Tournament will be played at Jefferson City High School’s Fleming Field House from December 27-29, 2012. Dean Cooper and Matt Quandt will serve as team hosts for Louisville Male and Coach Larry Miller.
Louisville Male is coming off an 18-14 campaign and enters this year with an expectation of being much more successful. The Bulldogs will be led by two senior guards in Josh Stoner and D.J. Lambert, both of which are prospects to play at the collegiate level. P.J. Scott and Brandon Horne will provide quality depth on the perimeter. Louisville Male will look to several players to contribute in the frontcourt including senior Tyler Miller, juniors Jalen Brasher and Chris Leon, and freshman Chris Drabo. Head Coach Larry Miller is in his 2nd season at Male. Darrel Griffith, the 1980 College Basketball POY, and current NFL Players Chris Redmond (Falcons) and Michael Bush (Bears) are alumni of Male HS.
Louisville Male will open the 2012 Joe Machens Great Eight Classic at 4:00 p.m. on December 27, 2012, with a game against Columbia Rock Bridge.
